Have Your Wedding at The Abode!
From June 1st until September 30th, every year, the Abode Mountain Center hosts weddings. Exchanging vows on our mountain is the perfect place for those who wish to be surrounded by the magic and power of nature. The Abode Mountain Center is located at the crossing of two powerful ley lines considered a sacred meeting place for centuries by native tribes. Later on, the Shakers established the village of Mt Lebanon in the same location. In 1975, Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan recognized the same atmosphere of power and sacredness and established the Abode of the Message, the headquarters of the Sufi Order International in North America in the valley below the mountain.
Our facilities are rustic and can easily accommodate 120 people. We have a large tent located on a platform for the ceremony and an onsite kitchen connected to covered serving and eating pavilions. Our two large cabins with 10 rooms each can host up to 40 guests. There are also individual huts and clearings for tents. Our Caretaker Cabin makes a cozy, rustic, beautiful space for the newlyweds to stay.
We offer two different types of arrangements for weddings. You can cater your own wedding and rent our Mountain Center for day use only (no overnights), for $2,500 or for two days (cabins and huts included for overnight stays) for $4,500. We provide the tent for your ceremony, the use of our kitchen and covered eating pavilions , flushing toilets, hot showers, rustic cabins for 40 guests and tenting areas. Our programs manager will work with your wedding planner to prepare the space. An operations person will be on hand 16 hours each day to guide your staff. With this option, you cater your own food and provide your own staff to set and decorate the spaces and to serve your guests.

The second option is for us to cater your wedding. We still offer all the services listed above and in addition, we offer vegetarian ($65 per person) or meat ($85 per person) banquets and can offer other meals for your guests throughout the weekend. Alcohol is not provided at these prices. The quality of our organic food is legendary. In addition, our talented preferred vendors can offer wild flower arrangements, massages, a sound system for your entertainment plans and a photographer.
