Mark Your Calendar - A Preview of the 2012 Internal Events at the Abode
February 5th: Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan's Urs - On Sunday, join us for a special Universal Worship celebrating Hazrat Inayat Khan, a brunch and an afternoon celebration. Other events for February 3rd and 4th will be announced later
March 6 to 11/May 29 to June 3/September 11to 16/December 4 to 9: Suluk Shama - a two year spiritual training program offered by the Sufi Order International (SOI). The Shama class started in September of 2011.
April 6 to 8: Easter retreat with Yaqin Aubert followed by our annual Passover celebration
April 24-29: Federation meeting - This year, the international meeting of all the Hazrati Sufi Orders (Sufi Movement, Ruhanyat, Sufi Way, Sufi Contact, Fraternity of Light, Sufi Order International) is taking place in North America.
May 11-13: Himayat Inayati: Sufism in the 21st Century: the presence of the Green Man - A study of the similarities between the illuminative philosophy of the 12th Sufis (Shihab al-Din Suhrawardi and Ibn al Arabi and the ecological pioneers of the 20th and 21st centuries (James Lovelock, Staphan Harding and Father Thomas Berry) on how to create, bind, nurture and evolve the cosmos.
May 16 to 20/ Sept 26 to 30: Suluk Graduates - an advanced class for those who have already completed the Suluk program.
May 23 to 27: Taj Inayat's retreat - a five-day personal retreat limited to 13 participants.
June 17: Pir Vilayat Khan's Urs: a celebration of the passing of the founder of the Abode.
June 29 to July 3rd: Sufi Arts Camp on the mountain: Music, dance and ectasy. Yuval Ron, Zuleikha, Amir O'Loughlin and others will take part in this wonderful event with concerts and workshops.
July 4 to 6: Pir Zia and Aziza's retreat: A three-day silent retreat on the mountain.
July 27 to August 1st: I AM with Puran Bair
August 23-26: Yoga camp. Juliana Takacs is back on the mountain with her successful yoga camp.
August 31 to September 2: A seminar with Wali Ali and Gayan Macher
October 19th-21st: Emerald Earth - Sharifa Norton and Muinuddin Smith will be doing a weekend seminar on ziraat
