Special Fundraisers

We have two special fundraisers as of March 2012:

1) Mountain Improvement Project

Our Mountain Center is surrounded by over 40 acres of pristine forest on the side of Perry's Peak mountain. Bordering on Linden Bates Memorial State Park, our mountain property contains a sanctuary, retreat cabins, rustic dining facilities and a large platform with a tent able to accommodate over 200 people in the midst of singing birds and rustling trees. It is a wonderful place for group retreats, wedding ceremonies, and for intimate communion with nature. Many of us have renewed our body, heart and soul within its embrace. However, after many years of great service, our tent is showing its age, and we need to replace it at a cost of about $7,000, our cabins are in need of basic repairs at a cost of about $6,000, and our kitchen doubled its size during the Kitchen Up project but still needs interior work. We need a new cooler, a convection oven and a furnished pantry. It is a dream of mine to maintain and improve the mountain and keep it a welcoming and comfortable place for all. Beautiful facilities merging with nature are medicine to the soul.

2) The Abode Forest Fund

We are collecting money to fund essential restoration of our beloved land, including funding for removal of invasive (non-native) plants, tick-control measures, and other projects that nurture and project the land.
