Mountain Center

Our Mountain Retreat Center offers a large 40’ x 60’ tented area, kitchen and eating areas, lots of nature, flush and non-flush toilets, trails and places of sacred beauty in a rustic setting.

We offer several options to choose from for renting the Mountain Center which are customized for your group's needs. For weddings, please see "Weddings" section under "Pricing Information."

Option A: Groups supplying and cooking their own food get use of the mountain spaces and facilities including: the kitchen, generator, meeting tents, hot showers, flush toilets, eating pavilions and an Operations Support person. Additional per person fees for cabin use, hut use, tenting or commuters will apply, and are agreed upon with the Abode Programs Manager. Call for details and pricing*: 518-794-8090 ext. 115.

*Pricing depends on the size of the group and the needs of the group.

Option B: Groups contract The Abode to supply and cook meals for them.  The general space use is the same as in Option A and then we work out a per person price that includes food and cabin, hut or tenting options. In this option, our head cook will work with you to create menu plans for your group based on your preferences and our farm's seasonal produce. All meals are served buffet style. The Abode supplies snacks and tea and coffee, and takes care of cleaning the dishes.  Please call the Abode Programs Manager for more details and pricing: 518-794-8090 ext. 115.

Option C: Your group may have day useof the Mountain (between the hours of 9 am-8 pm) for non-wedding events. Please call the Abode Programs Manager for pricing. For groups of 40 or more, we offer the option of catering your event.

Food Service Fees : For day use groups which contract the Abode’s kitchen staff to cook and clean for meals, a package price will be calculated based on the menu plan.  This packaged price is separate from the space use and cleaning fees.  Suggested menu plans can be presented to Abode Programs Office, or we can create menu plans for your group based on your preferences and our farm’s seasonal produce.  All meals are served buffet style.   

Accommodations:

• The Mountain Center can accommodate up to 175 people.
• The Mountain Center has a limited number of chairs, and 5 folding tables, in addition to the center's picnic tables. For glasses, extra chairs, and other unsupplied items, there are rental services in the local area.  We would be glad to help you arrange for these rentals:
