Small Retreats

The Abode is located in a former Shaker Community. The buildings were built by the Shakers and have kept much of their original details. On the 400 acre property, you will find hiking trails, an organic farm, a swimming pond, fields to hold events on, places to have bonfires, a residential community and many wonderful sacred spaces. People love the peaceful feeling and the homey atmosphere. We can accommodate smaller groups who are looking for a space to have a program with overnight facilities.

All accommodation prices include all meals, daily snacks and 24/7 self-serve tea bar. An Operations person will be assigned to your group to make sure you have everything you need, do set up and assist during your whole stay.

For groups that have 15 to 19 overnight full-time participants, our prices are as follows:

Double rooms are $150 per person per night
Single rooms are $170 per person per night
Dorms are not offered for groups of this size

Participants will be placed in the same guesthouse if possible.

For groups that have 20-24 overnight full-time participants, the prices are as follows:

Double rooms are $130 per person per night
Single rooms are $150 per person per night
Dorms are not offered for groups of this size

Groups of 25 participants or more are booked at our regular prices of:

Double rooms: $95 per person per night
Single rooms: $115 per person per night
Dorms spaces are available for $70 per person per night

Meeting rooms in other buildings can be rented for the following prices:

The Meditation Hall is the main meeting space on the lower campus. It has chairs and benches, back jacks and cushions that can be used by participants. It also has a grand piano. There is a wooden floor with area rugs. The meditation hall is set up with a PA and sound system. The use of the meditation hall is reserved for Universal Worship Service on Sunday from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm unless the rental group has 30 people or more, in which case the Universal Worship Service is moved to another location. It is approximately 56’ x 24’ (1356 sq. ft.). It rents for $200 per day or $45 per hour, for up to 3 hours.

The Family Room is a great meeting and movement space with wooden floors and folding chairs that can easily be moved. It is approximately 33' x 15' (495 sq. ft.). It rents for $100 a day or $40 per hour for up to 3 hours.

The Conference Room is a comfortable space with couches and stuffed chairs and a rugged floor. It is approximately 22’ x 16’ (352 sq. ft.). It rents for $75 per day or $20 per hour.

We have several other break out spaces available as needed. Please contact the Programs Manager for availability.

Miscellaneous Charges All programs are assigned an OPS person as their contact person during the retreat. This is a required service and is included in all retreats at no additional charge.
