Rentals

The Abode offers seasonal hospitality to groups and individuals, running from April through November. Guest housing is in historic Shaker buildings and based on availability. Buildings designated for guest hospitality are Fatah (meaning “Opener”) and the Meditation Hall.

Individuals:

  • Those interested in a rest and relaxation visit to the Abode pay a fee and can join the community life during non-program days. Email frontdesk@theabode.org or call the Front Desk at 518.794.8095 for more details.
  • Those interested in short-term housing can rent a space for a month or more.  Email rentals@theabode.org or call Ibrahím at 518.794.8090 ext. 125 for more details.
  • Those interested in long-term rent-paying residency can click HERE.

 

Groups:

Event hospitality is available for groups of at least 25 people on our Main Campus and our Mountain Camp. The Main Campus can house up to 70 people (more with tenting).  The Mountain Camp (open mid-May through mid-September) can house up to 65 people (200 including tenting).   • Wood plank stage with big top tent

  • Flush toilets and out-houses

  • Elemental Sanctuary
  • Housing in cabins and huts
  • Over 300 acres of land and trails
  • Fire pit
