Individual Guided Retreats

The Sufi Retreat Center at the Abode of the Message offers individual guided retreats lasting from three days up to 40 days. We have been offering individual retreats for 35 years, from the very beginning of the Abode. The Sufi Retreat Center at the Abode of the Message offers you a chance to take time out of your busy schedule and go deep inside for reflection and to find the Spirit of Guidance within. Retreats offer space to re-focus and re-orient one’s life.

Year round Retreats/Accommodations: The Sufi Retreat Center at the Abode of the Message offers year round accommodations. You can commune with the natural beauty in a wooded secluded area and stay in a retreat hut or a comfortable cabin near a whispering stream. Rooms above the Meditation Hall are also available most of the year.

Cost: The retreat fee is $110 - $150 (sliding scale) for a room and a range of $85.00 -$150 for a hut/cabin per day. This fee includes accommodations, food for preparing your own simple breakfast and lunch and one warm meal (dinner) delivered daily to your room or cabin. A trained retreat guide will meet with you at least once daily.

Guides: Our retreat guides have been trained in the Sufi Order retreat tradition and offer a variety of practices and meditations from many of the world religions. We also have guides who specialize in guiding Healing Retreats, Suluk Retreats, Ziraat and Universal Worship Retreats. We also offer retreats centered around sacred holidays of the Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions.
