Supporting a Legacy with an Eye on the Future

The Abode is a retreat center and sanctuary, promoting collective and individual discovery through meaningful experiences and opportunities for growth. We serve the well-being of others, by offering classes, retreats and gatherings that create a time to pause and reflect with guidance from sacred teachings, creative process, Earth based initiatives and contemplation.

Our work has spanned almost half a century and as the Abode expands its focus in 2024, we wish to rededicate our spaces to promote conscious awakening in every day life for the future of our world.

The Abode is a Sanctuary

We believe deeply in the process of orientation in nature and that the preservation of our Earth’s wild spaces is fundamental to its future.

Beauty as observed in nature is an invitation to wonder about the deeper connections of all living things. From this space it becomes ever more evident that our natural world is deeply important to the understanding of the potential in all.

The beauty and inspiration we all experience at the Abode property is a part of our founding teacher’s legacy. As we look to the future, we keep his words close to heart…

“While I hope that some of the skills and meditations that I have presented will be helpful to you, they are useful only as a ladder in attaining the essential objective—awakening consciousness and conscience in everyday life.”
