Abode Village Visits

Village Visits

What is the Abode of the Message?  What is an Eco-Sufi Village?  What does life look like in a remote, historic, spiritual community and retreat center?  The point of Village Visits is to answer such questions.

The Abode has a rich heritage, a vibrant present, and a promising future!  Many people are interested in checking the Abode out and getting a feel for community living, Sufi spirituality, and the beauty of the Berkshires.  Village Visits at the Abode provide the opportunity to immerse oneself in the Abode residential life, work life, spiritual study, and fun – all at a reasonable rate.  The weekend (Fri-Sun) cost is $99 (to cover food expenses and basic linens) and all participants are housed communally with shared bathroom facilities.

Visit our Programs page to register!

Before joining the Hands-to-Heart or Farm-to-Kitchen program, one must attend a Village Visit, so Visits are an integral entry point to life at the Abode.  Members of the Abode’s Residence Committee will be on-site during Village Visits to discuss further opportunities.  To explore these long-term volunteer opportunities, visit our Volunteer page.
