During her 75-minute performance, she will read excerpts from her forthcoming book, Tales of the Boatwoman, a book of ancestral stories and creative memoir, bringing extraordinary theatrics and skillful narrative to her performance. She has been described as a "spell binding storyteller".
Come discover why a passionate elopement turns into an unhappy betrayal; how a black and white photograph changes the destiny of an entire family and how an ancient Vedic mantra consoles a young bride as she journeys across the ocean to meet her groom.
Tales of the Boatwoman is currently on tour and has been performed at various venues in New England, including the Berkshires and Martha's Vineyard and internationally at the Teatro Santa Ana in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
