Join Amber Chand, global storyteller and writer as she takes you an evocative journey into the world of her ancestors in India and Africa through stories that will mesmerize and delight you. During her 75-minute performance, she will read excerpts from her forthcoming book, Tales of the Boatwoman, a book of ancestral stories and creative memoir, bringing extraordinary theatrics and skillful narrative to her performance.
She has been described as a “spell binding storyteller exploring themes of wisdom, beauty and humanity, transporting us to distant lands through her tales,” Eve Zatt, Spencertown Academy Tales of the Boatwoman is currently on tour and has been performed at various venues including : Still point Center, Martha’s Vineyard; Vent Fort Hall, Race Brook Lodge and Stephentown Academy in the Berkshires and at the Teatro Santa Ana in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
