Homelands Powwow

Our friends, Homelands PowWow, are having a gathering, down the road on the Darrow Campus, Saturday and Sunday, October 4th and 5th, 10am - 5pm.

We are are truly excited for this event as it celebrates the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of the Mohican Indians, who first blessed these lands many years ago. Through the annual organization of this PowWow, they raise funds to support travel and lodging for tribal members who wish to return to these sacred homelands. Rooted in tradition, community, and cultural resilience, their work helps ensure that the connection between the Mohican people and their lands endures for generations to come. Learn more information about this event and organization here

In collaboration with Homelands, we are offering weekend accommodations here at the Abode, to anyone interested in this event, and with your booked room, you will receive a free ticket to the Homelands Pow Wow event. We have Razzaq, Mughni, and Quddus rooms available for rent through our new online portal.

We look forward to seeing you and will send out our regular weekly newsletter on Thursday this week,

Warmly,

The Abode
