A Bounty of Zikr

Come gather with us for an evening of Zikr, a Sufi practice of remembrance and connection through poetry, chanting, singing, movement, and stillness.

At the heart of Zikr is a simple invitation: to pause, turn inward, and remember what is most essential. No previous experience is needed. Whether you are familiar with Sufi practice or simply curious to experience something new, you are warmly welcome.

“Dear friends, your heart is a polished mirror. You must wipe it clean of the veil of dust that has gathered upon it, because it is destined to reflect the light of Divine secrets.”
— al-Ghazzali

This evening will be guided by Winfried Fuchshofen, Wahhab David Sheets, and Yaqin Joseph Aubert, three experienced teachers and guides within the Inayatiyya tradition.

Winfried Fuchshofen is a representative of the Inayatiyya and teaches at the Inayatiyya Hudson Valley Center. He has spent many years involved in the organization’s work and also leads a life devoted to Fair Trade and sustainability.

Wahhab David Sheets is a senior Inayatiyya teacher, Siraj of the Universal Worship, and retreat guide. Based in Colorado, he leads retreats and Sufi classes, facilitates Zikr, and enjoys traveling, playing guitar, and hiking.

Yaqin Joseph Aubert is a senior Inayatiyya teacher and mentor, retreat guide, storyteller, and Siraj in the Universal Worship. His work invites people to explore the wholeness of their being through contemplative practice, story, and spiritual inquiry.

Come as you are, and join us for an evening of remembrance, reflection, and community.
